The marriage vow

Moses didn't do a sloppy job of Shar's and mine wedding. For one, he prepared a great vow. This is what was said:

Friends, we are together here to be a part and witness to the joining of these two people. Before we begin, I want to say a few words about joining.

Throughout our lives, we make strong bonds with people we call friends. Sometimes, we meet a friend that we want to make a stronger bond with by sharing all of ourselves with that person. We integrate that person into our lives, making that person a part of who we are. These tawo young people wish to make each other an integral part of their lives.

Now, insert name here, repeat after me if what you say is true.

insert other name here, I like you. I enjoy the time we spend together. I prefer the times that we are together than the times that we are apart. I want us to laugh together and cry together. I want us to grow together. I want to know more of who you are, even the things that I will fear, the things that will hurt me, and the things I will love. I want you to share all your heart and mind with me. Will you?

YES
In return, I offer you myself. [present icon] This is who I am. [describe the icon if you wish] This is yours; a sign of my trust in you and my desire to share myself with you.

NO
That's okay. Your mind and your heart are your own to do with as you please. [speak with the person, ask questions]

By the power of ritual, and the power you have invested in me, you are joined: wife and wife. Now would be a good time to show some physical affection.

P.S. Both Shar and I said yes.
