'Twas the night before assignments

On the night of Thursday, February 16, 1995, a great unhappiness surrounded the mathies - the latest Calculus assignment was tedious, annoying, and drove Robert up the wall. Shortly after midnight, Kevin and Nikita came accoss each other in that grey building we call MC. Much was said, little was done. Neither of them had done the assignment.

A quick vote was held between the two of them. Going to sleep was passed unanimously. But, on the way back to their poor village homes, Kevin and Nikita were struck by this brilliant idea: the assignment was so intelectually unchallenging and boring, it deserved more than just not doing it... the words "fire" went through the courageous mathies' minds. It had to be done.

They got matches from Kevin's room. Nikita had the honour of striking the first match. They were both kneeling. After a bit of effort, the last word of the assignment went into ashes. And after the ashes were cold and stomped on, the proud heroes went home with a clear head and an enriched soul. Home towards sleep and good dreams.
